Field trip to Enchanted Rock Texas



My first field trip in my first year of PhD. program with Dr. Earl for the geo-morphological was one of its kind in terms of learning how geomorphological study of the enchanted rock (granite) one of the oldest rocks in the Texas point from which the state began forming billions of years ago.

 Though its just about 1820 feet dropped its height 
  From 1840, its feels like you are on top of the highest elevation in the State

Dr. Earl describing about formation of black patches on the summit of the Enchanted Rock as a process of continuing weathering that may lead to form a vernal pool after millions of years in the future.
